 If you come by plane you can fly into the Barcelona, Girona and Perpignan airports, the latter a mere 35 km from the French border. If you prefer the high-speed train, the AVE runs through the cities of Girona and Figueres. The AP-7 motorway crosses the Girona region from north to south and dual carriageways runs from east to west. The region can also be reached by the Palamós, Roses and Barcelona ports
