Conferences on health, image and administration take over the Girona Convention Centre in November
The 3rd Conference on Medical Professions in Catalonia (CPMC), held on 10 November, is an event that brings together Catalan doctors to discuss issues of concern to this group of professionals, propose solutions and outline the path of the future professional.
The 14th Antoni Varés Image and Research Conference will be celebrated from 16 to 18 November; this event is organised by the Girona City Council’s Centre for Imaging Research and Diffusion (CRDI) and the Association of Archivists–Record Managers of Catalonia (AAC-GD).
Girona will host the International Conference of Local Administrators from 23 to 25 November, an event organised by the Forum of Local Administrators and Ombudsman of Catalonia (FòrumSD) with the collaboration of the Girona City Council, Girona Provincial Council and the Institute of Human Rights of Catalonia, among others.

Participants in the many conferences celebrated across Girona can discover the region’s heritage by taking advantage of special rates. Participants can visit the Girona Art Museum and Sant Pere de Galligants for the reduced price of €2 (proof of conference participation required). The Ullastret, Empúries and Sant Pere de Rodes archaeological sites offer a 25% discount for conference participants.

The joint proposal from Humanside Experiences, Ocitània and La Costa Golf & Beach Resort consists of a guided tour with iPad’s on electric bikes around natural attractions like the Basses d’en Coll and Arrossars de Pals. The tour ends at Mas Gelabert and has been enthusiastically received by participants, members of MICE agencies in Barcelona and Madrid.
The activity was part of a programme that La Costa Golf & Beach Resort organised to give agencies the opportunity to discover everything the venue has to offer for corporate events, where participants can enjoy a wide range of leisure options in between work sessions.

Training for tourism professionals
The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau celebrated the “How to promote our business’s MICE product?” workshop for tourism companies in the province of Girona on 8 November. A range of issues were discussed at the workshop to raise awareness about the needs of the business tourism sector and generate exciting proposals through partnerships between companies in the MICE sector.
This event will be followed by the kick-off of the Turisme 360 training programme with the “The power of food and wine in tourism” conference on 21 November, which will showcase the upward trend of food and wine. Participating tourism companies will be able to compare ways to adapt to this changing landscape and learn about success stories at a conference that will focus on team leadership and seek to identify new ways to market and set products apart.
