Local convention bureaux from the provinces of Girona also participated in the round table and discussed the “Olot-Girona-Lloret” tourism project as a case study on the complementarity and synergies between very different destinations that can provide the perfect addition to the region’s range of options for tourism meetings and events.
Josep Serra, winemaker and owner of La Vinyeta Mollet de Peralada winery, participated in the “Gastronomy CAT!!” round table and explained the importance of food and wine in meeting tourism. Serra contributed his experience in organising activities that showcase the world of wine and vineyards in the context of business tourism and how wines can advance from simply accompanying an event to being its main focus.
