The first edition of the CROM Ride, held on 1 July, brought together 150 motorcyclists from all over the territory, attracted by the possibility of enjoying a non-competitive route through the county of Girona, from the city of Girona to Cerdanya, passing through the Costa Brava.
The departure and arrival point was the exterior of the Fira de Girona, where a paddock and a village with sponsors’ marquees were set up with the collaborating brands offering motorcycle test rides.
Rain did not stop the participants from enjoying their ride and the countryside of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees along the 500 kilometres of the route, designed for riders with more than 30 years’ experience.
The route followed mountain roads, urban stretches and faster roads and took approximately 10 hours, during which time there were stops to fill up, have a coffee overlooking Banyoles Lake and have lunch with views of the Pyrenees.
The day out was organised by CROM Event, a new member of the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, with the collaboration of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board.
