The two new proposals were created under the name “On the Rocks” during OGL Meetings’ second co-creation session held at the Girona Conference Centre.
They are two basic one-day experiences to include in the programme of business meetings, conventions or congresses:On the Rocks MUST and On the Rocks DELUXE.
These programmes are based on the essential elements of the province’s diverse identity – the unique natural landscape, traditions, heritage, local food and wine and its culture – which are linked together by a storyline, with the aim of highlighting the distinctive features of each of the three areas. Mobility has also been contemplated as an experience, employing characteristic elements such as the greenways that follow former railway lines or the vintage cars that participate in the Rally Costa Brava.
These proposals are the result of the co-creation session participants’ creativity. About twenty companies from the business tourism sector of the Garrotxa region, Lloret de Mar and the city of Girona convened by the OGL Meetings organisations and the MICE incoming travel agencies belonging to the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau worked hand in hand to design the experiences.
OGL Meetings’ objective is to unite the three individual local MICE initiatives of the city of Girona, Olot and Lloret de Mar so as to generate joint proposals and business opportunities.
OGL Meetings is a pioneer in Catalonia in creating a transverse MICE product through coordination among local entities, in this case bringing together Reunions entre Volcans, Girona City Convention Bureau and Lloret Convention Bureau, with the collaboration of the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau.
