The 1st World Sports Tourism Congress, organised jointly by the Government of Catalonia and the World Tourism Organization (WTO), with the support of the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and the Lloret de Mar Town Council, was presented in Barcelona and Lloret de Mar at the end of September.

The Congress will be held on 25 and 26 November at the Evenia Olympic Palace, located in the grounds of the Evenia Olympic Resort, one of Lloret de Mar’s leading hotel complexes.

With its modern facilities, it is the perfect venue to ensure the event’s success. More than 300 delegates will be attending the Congress.

The congress is presented in an innovative format. As well as offering the possibility of attending the congress in person or online, hologram cabins will be installed to enable virtual attendance by different speakers who will participate remotely. This advanced technology was presented at this year’s Mobile World Congress and will be used for the first time in Catalonia at the World Sports Tourism Congress.
