The Mediterranean Sea and wine culture are closely intertwined. Until fairly recently, the fishermen in many towns on the Costa Brava were also vintners.

Creuers Mare Nostrum, together with the winemaking heritage awareness project Glops d’Història, has created the ‘Sea of wines’ activity. This proposal, designed for groups, links the history of the Costa Brava’s towns, the Mediterranean Sea and the wines of the DO Empordà region.
