Description

The Girona City Convention Bureau is an initiative of the Girona City Council that aims to promote the city as a destination for business tourism and the ideal spot for hosting conferences, conventions, forums, symposiums and a range of other events.

Girona is the capital of the province, strategically located just 30 km from the Costa Brava, 80 km from the French border and 100 km from Barcelona. The city is well-connected: the high-speed train can reach Barcelona in 37 minutes, Madrid in three and a half hours and Paris in five and a half. The Costa Brava-Girona Airport is 12 km from the city and the Barcelona-El Prat Airport a mere 90 km.

Girona has all the charm of a large city but without the crowds. It is a city built on a human scale, where everything is close enough to be seen on foot. The city boasts more than two thousand years of history and today is home to the Call, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in Europe, as well as one of the best restaurants in the world, reasons enough to make it an internationally recognised tourist destination.
