Description
The municipal theatre is located in Can Saragossa Park, close to the Monterrey Hotel and to the Conference Centre and Gran Casino Costa Brava. The theatre accommodates 370 people and has three rehearsal rooms with independent entrances and a 274 m2 stage. Outdoor events are also catered for with an additional stage and terraced seating.
The project is by Domènech i Girbau, great-grandson of Domènech i Montaner and designer of the building of the Crown of Aragon, the new Theatre Institute of Barcelona and the Federico García Lorca Centre in Granada, amongst others.
The 2,840 m2 theatre includes a large stage, a seating capacity of 370, three rehearsal rooms, an outdoor amphitheatre and parking facilities.
