Nine members of the management assistants association IMA Spain from Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia were able to learn first-hand about the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees’ MICE offering in the course of a workshop held with Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau member companies, followed by a fam trip to the territory.
The group travelled by AVE (high-speed train) to Girona. Close by, at the Girona Conference Centre, they met the participating Girona-based companies in a networking lunch and toured the conference centre’s facilities.
During the afternoon, they were taken on a guided tour of the city of Girona before travelling to Pla de l’Estany for dinner at the Hotel Casa Anamaria, where they spent the night.
With very short trips, on the next day they visited the medieval village of Besalú, the Celler La Vinyeta and the Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum. On the last day, after a mindfulness session given at the hotel where they were staying, the Hotel Park San Jorge in Calonge, they left for Palamós to visit the Fishing Museum and have lunch in its gastronomic showroom, the Espai del Peix.
Organised jointly with IMA Spain, the activity offered a magnificent opportunity for forging links with management assistants working in leading Spanish companies and organisations.
