The Costa Brava hosted the Break the Ice Forum, an event that brought together twenty professionals from the business tourism sector from around Europe (in particular, the destination’s main European markets: Benelux, France and the UK). This meeting was co-organised by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau and the Catalunya Convention Bureau.
The programme, which lasted two nights and one full day, included various activities and experiences that invited the attendees to connect, learn and explore everything that the Costa Brava has to offer for meetings and events.
The event began with a welcome dinner at Hotel Mas Solà, followed by a creative group dynamic led by Humanside to break the ice.
The following day, during the workshop that was held, professional event planners had the opportunity to interact with companies from Girona’s business tourism sector and to explore the different options available for events.
Later, the Fundació Emys offered the attendees a programme of team activities to promote caring for and preserving the environment which, at the same time, strengthened cohesion among the participants thanks to their cooperation in actions that provide a feeling of having made a real difference in the region.
Finally, the closing dinner was held at the Monastery of Sant Salvi, a 17th-century Franciscan monastery surrounded by nature, at the foot of the Montseny Natural Park.
Some of the event planners and agency representatives were able to take part in a specific fam trip to explore the destination in greater depth and experience first-hand the wide range of possibilities for future events.
Eight companies from Girona and members of the CBGCB offered the participants an authentic and personalised experience –Hotel Mas Solà, Hotel Santa Marta, Casa Anamaria, Hotel Camiral Golf & Wellness, Park Hotel San Jorge, L’Azure Hotel, Evenia Hotels and Hotel Peralada Wine, Spa & Golf– working in collaboration with other members, such as Sagalés, B&C Transfers, Opera Lloguers, Palau de Congressos de Girona and the Lloret Convention Bureau; among other businesses and professionals from Girona.
The Costa Brava once again proved itself to be a first-class destination in the business tourism and corporate events sector. The success of this edition of the Break the Ice Forum is a testimony to the region’s excellent facilities, natural beauty, and vibrant culture.
