The Costa Brava Business Days action generated 900 interviews and new MICE requests for the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees of Girona
The recent event, Costa Brava Business Days, organised by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, served to promote the meeting and event services within the region of Girona among business tourism professionals from the Nordic countries, Germany, France and Spain who are looking for alternative business tourism destinations to the large European cities.
Nine hundred interviews during the workshop held the first day in Lloret de Mar and three days of activities in the region, divided among four different proposals, resulted in new requests to organise MICE activities in the Girona counties.
The participants shared four days exchanging ideas and expanding their network of contacts with representatives of business tourism organisations and companies in the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees of Girona. The first day, a participative workshop was held in Lloret de Mar, along with a group activity that ended with a gala dinner featuring live music. Over the next three days, the participants were divided into groups in order to learn about the services offered in the region from four different perspectives.
I thought it was very interesting to be able to interact with agencies from other countries. I would rate this as a highly positive experience, both on a personal as well as professional level, and I am now keen to delve deeper to learn more about the Costa Brava. The event has shown excellent levels of organisation and overwhelming interest in raising awareness of the region’s potential on the part of national and international attendees. Undoubtedly, Costa Brava Business Days has given us an excellent outlook that beforehand we did not know of in the area. (Sandra Mata – E&TB Group)
