This one-and-a-half-day programme will give you an insight into the Empordà region’s Greco-Roman heritage together with a chance to discover a land of contrasts from the air and a taste of the true spirit of the city of Girona. What’s more, you’ll also leave a positive imprint on the region by helping to improve the natural balance of this incomparable landscape.
Day 1 in the afternoon
In the coastal town of Empuriabrava you’ll join an expert instructor from Skydive Empuriabrava for an intense tandem flight experience in one of the most sought-after skydiving sites in the world, thanks to its breathtaking views.
After such a stunning start to the programme you deserve the peace of the wellness facilities (spa) at Hotel Mas Bosch 1526 in Avinyonet de Puiventós. This boutique hotel is set in a converted sixteenth-century fortified farmhouse, very close to Figueres. This first dinner will be a chance for the group to enjoy the hotel’s locally-sourced gourmet cuisine.
Day 2
After a short half-hour drive you’ll get to the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, with over 4,800 hectares of marshlands that have been protected since 1983, where the group will collaborate in creating a route specially for children so as to help kids learn about the environment.
Afterwards, the next experience awaiting the group will be a visit to an art nouveau flour mill, the Farinera de Sant Lluís, before going on to lunch at the Hotel Spa Terraza, overlooking the beach in the bay of Roses, just 300 metres from the town centre.
Here you’ll explore the Greek, Roman and medieval remains to be found in the town of Roses. Some of the venues can be privatised for holding parties and events in exceptional settings with all the services you could ever need.
Travelling to the departure point via Girona’s high-speed railway station gives you a great chance to visit the city before checking into the DoubleTree by Hilton Girona, where the closing dinner will take place.
