“Josep Pla, cuisine and countryside”. This is the proposal of Restaurant la Sala Gran in Llofriu and the Fundació Josep Pla, which hope to guide us through an experience in which culture and gastronomy come together.
The activity starts by taking the Josep Pla Route in Calella de Palafrugell, described by the great Empordà author as “A prodigiously beautiful village, particularly when seen from the sea.” The itinerary proposed shows the close links between the author and this fisherman’s village in which he spent the summers with his family.
The visit to the permanent exhibition of the Fundació Josep Pla, housed in the author’s birthplace, in Palafrugell, marks the end of the route and makes way for the literary meal in the Sala Gran in Llofriuto enjoy Empordà cuisine, another commonplace to Josep Pla’s books, .
Following the guiding thread of the author’s work, you can enjoy the Empordà region countryside and cuisine with an activity that is highly recommendable to do as a group, any day of the week. Advance booking required.
