On 31 May to 2 June, the City of Girona will host the 3rd World Ayahuasca Conference. Over a thousand attendees from all over the world are expected, making it the largest ever event on Ayahuasca to date.
Ayahuasca is an ancestral tea that has played a key role in the health, wellbeing and survival of the native peoples of the Amazon basin. In recent years, practices related to Ayahuasca have spread worldwide.
The Girona Congress Centre will be the venue for over a hundred activities, including talks, workshops and parallel activities. The conference also includes a series of activities organised in the city of Girona to celebrate cultural diversity and practices, with Ayahuasca as the central theme, including visionary artwork, virtual reality, film and literature exhibitions, etc.
The event organiser is the ICEERS (International Center for Ethnobotanical Education, Research and Service) Foundation, a Barcelona-based NGO that works in areas related with the globalisation of practices involving psychoactive plants, such as Ayahuasca.
