We attended Barcelona’s annual global business tourism trade fair for another consecutive year. The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau joined forces with the Lloret Convention Bureau and the Girona City Convention Bureau, as well as companies like Evenia Hotels and PGA Catalunya Resort, to promote everything Catalonia has to offer the MICE tourism industry.
A post-trip fam trip is schedule for 1 December; organised in collaboration with the Catalonia Convention Bureau, the trip is designed for professionals and agencies from several international markets.
Media awards in the tourism sector
The Girona Convention Centre will host the Premis G! awards ceremony on 15 December. One of the Girona tourism industry’s leading events, the awards ceremony has been celebrated for ten years by the Girona Provincial Council’s Tourist Board to recognise the work performed by professionals and organisations to promote the region.
Girona’s communication awards bring together over 400 guests, including authorities, representatives from the tourism sector and the media.
One hundred phones at the Conference Centre for the Marató telethon
The Girona Convention Centre will serve as the call centre for the 25th edition of the TV3 Marató, setting up 100 lines to take calls from donors during the programme on Sunday, 18 December. This year’s telethon will raise money for victims of strokes and traumatic brain and spinal injuries.
