The German caravanning industry (Caravaning Industrie Verband Deutschland) and Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf chose the Costa Brava to hold the annual presentation of new motorhome models.
Around thirty international journalists and German opinion leaders tried out seventeen different motorhomes to discover the new features as they travelled around the region, visiting various towns and campsites.
The activity lasted four days, during which the participants took part in outdoor and water activities, cultural visits and wine and gastronomy tastings.
The action was promoted by the Catalan Tourist Board’s Promotion Office in Central Europe, in collaboration with Girona Provincial Council’s Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board and the Girona Campsites Association.
Girona’s campsites have the facilities to host large events in natural and open settings: gastronomy, entertainment, activities and accommodation all in the same space beside the sea or in one of the province of Girona’s natural parks.
