This year, the 5th Sea Otter Europe has been held with its full programme, after last year’s Sea Otter was limited to the sports events only.

Having met the challenge of keeping the event open in 2020, Sea Otter Europe 2021 has been a boost of optimism for this amazing festival which combines trade fair, races, test benches and exhibitions. According to the organisation, the results have exceeded expectations in a year that is still strongly impacted by the pandemic and the situation of the bicycle industry.

Over 240 brands were represented at the trade fair and 45,000 visitors came to the festival during the three days of the event.

In 2017, the organisers of the Sea Otter –the international cycling event that started more than 20 years ago in California– chose Girona as the venue for replicating its successful formula in Europe, and it has come back to the same city in subsequent years, consolidating the initiative and exceeding expectations year after year.
