Up to the end of March there is still time to discover the garoinada, or sea urchin season, one of the Costa Brava’s gastronomic seafood traditions, on board a classic boat with a four-hour, hands-on activity, ideal for groups of 6 to 36 people.
Tela Marinera offers trips from the port of Palamós on board the Rafael, built at the beginning of the last century, and on the schooner Jolie Biche.
Our passengers become the crew and help out with on-board manoeuvres, sailing the boats to the Formigues Islands before dropping anchor on Castell beach…. At this point we will taste freshly caught sea urchins, accompanied in the most traditional style by bread, botifarra sausage and a little wine, just as the locals have always done.
