The AP-7 and an extensive network of roads connect Girona with Barcelona, France and the rest of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, the high-speed train (AVE and TGV), with stations in Girona and Figueres, connects the province with other European cities (Barcelona in 38 minutes, Madrid in 3 and a half hours and Paris in less than 6 hours).
